Empowering People Around the World
Humanitarian Aid
We have been fortunate to provide help in some very difficult situations, from emergency aid after natural disasters to communities facing extreme poverty, violence, and limited access to basic medical care. We have helped women living in places where even going to a community bathroom can be dangerous, and we have helped bring medical care to people in several poor villages.
Whenever possible, we work through local volunteers and involve the community itself. We don’t want to simply patch a problem and move on. We want people to have hope and to feel that they are part of the answer.
Sometimes the most important thing we can give is not just food, medicine, or emergency supplies, but the opportunity for local people to step forward, help their neighbors, and make their own community stronger.
Orphanages
In Pakistan, we have helped several orphanages run by Christians who are a small minority with very little assistance. Their faith drives them to care for these children even when they have very little themselves. The people running these homes are often incredibly passionate and do their best to care for the kids while struggling with poverty themselves and getting little outside help.
We’ve been able to help with food, clothing, and hopeful, practical seminars for the children. Sometimes a good meal or a new shirt meets an immediate need. Other times, a class, a new idea, or simply knowing that someone cares can give a child more hope for their future.
We have plans to start helping at orphanages in Mexico soon.
